Eleni Exarchou is an awarded film music composer, pianist, conductor, and arranger. She holds a University degree in Music Studies from Aristoteles University of Thessaloniki, where she won two times scholarship from the National Scholarships Foundation.

She also holds a piano diploma with a special distinction and higher theoretical degrees in Harmony, Fugue and Counterpoint. Furthermore, she studied composition in the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, with professor Leontios Handjileontiadis and attended seminars with professors Theodoros Antoniou and George Hadjinikos.

In 2018, as a composer, she won the 2nd prize in the International Animated Film Music Competition, which was organized by the Athens Concert Hall as part of the BRIDGES Cycle. The next year 2019, she was awarded with special distinction, for scoring the film “Once Upon a Line” by Alicja Jasina.

In 2023, she won the 3rd prize in the International Music Competition for the Animation film “Elevator Alone” by Anastasia Papadopoulou, organized by Megaron Athens Concert Hall.

In November 2023, she was awarded with the 1st prize in the 2nd International Tango Music Composition Competition of Kavala Tango Days 2023 for her tango entitled “Τango of the Οbsession”. During the same month, her piano work “Just Happened” was performed at the Megaron Athens Concert Hall for the 70th anniversary of the foundation of “The Friends of Music Society”.

Along with scoring for films, Eleni teaches the piano and organizes music composition workshops and concerts with her students’ works in order to stimulate their creativity.

Eleni has also composed instrumental and choral works, as well as theater music. She has also made numerous arrangements for choral ensembles. She is constantly evolving her music style and finds new ways of inspiration through cinema art to reach the highest aesthetic level.
